Simple recovery

Zippy is a non-custodial wallet. You are the only person who has control over the wallet. We help you to secure yourself and provide you with a social recovery option.

  • Simple social recovery

Option 1: Social recovery with guards

Set one or more Zippy users from your contacts as guards who will store your encrypted private key. If you need to recover your wallet, you can meet with one of your guards physically or in a video call and scan a QR code from their phone. Your guard will not have access to your Zippy account and can only help you with the recovery process.

Option 2: Write down recovery phrase

The recovery phrase is the password to your blockchain account. If you need to recover your wallet, you can enter the recovery phrase to gain access to your account. We recommend you to write the recovery phrase on a paper and keep several copies of it in different secret places.

We strive to make the Zippy fees for the use of cryptocurrencies as transparent as possible. Below you will find an overview of when fees apply and how high they are.

Network fees apply when sending cryptocurrencies to friends. The fees are displayed transparently in the app before sending. You can find an overview of the current fees here.

There are no fees for you when receiving cryptocurrencies.

The exchange of cryptocurrencies takes place on the decentralized exchange Uniswap. The costs are not yet displayed in the current version of the app. We are working hard to offer this soon. In the meantime, you can check here to see what the swap costs are.

The transaction fee is 3.75 % or at least 3.99 EUR. There are also network fees for the transaction itself. Please note that the exchange rate of Moonpay may differ from the exchange rate on the stock exchange.
